ABOUT US

Welcome to the website of the Bolsover Wheelers cycling club. We are a small and friendly club that organise Sunday club runs, social events and tours in the UK and further afield.

Although the majority of our organised rides are at 'touring pace' on quiet, country lanes, several of us are also keen mountain bikers and so we organise occasional off-road rides. Many of us are also keen on walking and so we also organise occasional walking weekends, usually based in Youth Hostels. Details of all of our rides and events can be found on the Rides and Events pages of this website.

The club holds a social meeting on Monday evenings at our clubroom in the village of Glapwell. This is an opportunity to meet fellow members for a chat over a cup of tea and biscuits.

Most of our members live in and around Bolsover and Chesterfield but we very much welcome new members from all areas. Membership costs just £8 per year and anyone is welcome to ride with us a few times before deciding to become a member.

Monday Night  Clubroom

We meet every Monday throughout the year (except on Bank Holidays) at the Glapwell Centre from 7.30pm until 9pm.

Clubroom meetings are an opportunity to chat to fellow members over a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits. We also use the meetings to plan and discuss our future rides and events and we also hold the occasional slide or film show. They are an ideal way for prospective members to meet us before commiting themselves to a ride.
